How can I get this makeup to look good?

I try to put on make up like that (Smokey) but i end up looking beaten around my eyes! How can I make it look good... I'm so confused. I have big brown eyes... Any good tips ladies?

http://fashion-allure.com/style/wp-conte鈥?/a>|||its really very simple.....If u have really dark skin then I think u have to use the darkest shades.First of all dont overdo ur shadow or your mascara..

do apply some light foundation on ur eyelids and below ur eyes

use lightest grey shadow on your outer part of eyelids

then use the darker shade on the lower part of lid

blend well but as not to show the partition of outer and inner lid color

take grey/black eyeliner to line ur eyes

use some kohl pencil if u like

using small shadow brush apply some ligter shadow(grey) below ur eyes..just fine line..dont overdo it

You'll get it if u try it for few times....|||mac shows you how.|||Do a search for Smokey eye on youtube, you'll find tons of instructional videos.|||I would suggest you only apply the shadow to your top lid and in the outer corner of the bottom lid. Same with the liner and I wouldn't recommend this look for daytime.|||if you look up on youtube "how to get smokey eye look" it will give you a few tutorials on how to get Smokey Eyes|||line your eyes with black pencil liner and then with either grayish-black or black shadow, concentrate it on the outer, upper corners of your eyes working your way in lightly.|||Brown/dark eyeshadow

Foundation that matches your skin

Eyeliner

and THICK eyelashes

personally i thinkit looks really good

For thick eyelashes you could use:

x|||My first suggestion is PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!! My second one would be start with a little eyeshadow and work up to a more intense colour. If you do it the opposite way, then you won't be able to rub it off as easily and start again.

And yeah, as some of the other ladies suggested, have a looksie on Youtube for some tutorials.

Good luck!! :o)|||Your problem lies in the fact that you're trying to recreate a runway look for everyday life. It won't happen. Real-life lighting will spotlight the contrast between your skin and the eye makeup, giving you that lovely Panda Face effect that I hear you've made friends with.

What to do? - Take it down a notch. Keep the smoky style confined to the extension of your lower lashes. Don't go beyond the lashes. There are countless tutorials for the smoky eye all over the web, using all varieties of cosmetics, so you can decide what kind of makeup you want to use and search for the tutorial on your own terms (or experiment with the makeup you have!)

Personally, I prefer mineral makeup for its ease of use and clean look. And remember - quality tools can take you a long way. If you're trying to accomplish this look with your fingertips or Q-tips it'll be a toughie, so good luck!
